The Life is Worth Living Way

The Life is Worth is Worth Living Way, our for profit organization, is something we created years ago without even knowing it. It is our outlook on life, it is how we try to live our lives in ever changing landscapes and scenery. It was created at a time in our lives when we did not know what tomorrow would bring.

Not having control of our lives and the uncertainty that remained in our paths made us want to share our stories. Although we did not know the ending, we wanted to reflect on what had happened and what we had been through. We were inspired to do this because of the untold stories of our siblings.

We watched their stories unfold, but we were never able to hear their perspectives. Perspectives that would have portrayed what it is like to live with a chronic illness in young adulthood. Perspectives that would have shared what it is like to feel voiceless whether that is from a disease that takes your voice away or from society and the stigma surrounding illness and disease. Perspectives that may have helped us understand the adversities they faced while grieving their loss.

What we learned from not hearing their perspectives, is that not everyone gets the opportunity to share their story. This is why we each need to embrace the unknown and share the parts of our story that we know will help create meaning in this shifting world. It is through our stories we come to know ourselves and the world. Sharing our stories allows us to experience personal growth, resilience and provides an opportunity to explore and celebrate the way we want to live, the life is worth living way.
